Privacyverklaring voor kandidaten
Laatst bijgewerkt: July 25, 2026
1. About this notice
This notice explains how yesnohire ("we", "us") processes personal data about you, the candidate, when you take part in a job interview that is recorded and analyzed using our AI interview assistant.
You are receiving this notice because the recruiter or hiring organization conducting your interview uses yesnohire to help assess interviews. This notice is addressed to you as a candidate — it is separate from the terms that apply to the recruiter who uses our product.
We want you to understand what happens to your data, why, and what rights you have.
2. Who is responsible for your data
The hiring organization (the recruiter's employer) decides to interview you and to use yesnohire to assist that assessment. For that purpose, they act as the data controller — they determine why your data is processed.
yesnohire provides the AI tool that records, transcribes and analyzes the interview on the recruiter's behalf. In relation to the interview assessment, we generally act as a data processor acting on the hiring organization's instructions.
For certain limited purposes (for example, keeping our own service secure and functioning), yesnohire may act as a controller in its own right.
- yesnohire contact: vadim.radionov@yesnohire.com
- Operator: Vadym Radionov (individual operator)
If you want to exercise your rights, you can contact us at the address above, or contact the hiring organization directly.
3. What data we process
In connection with your interview, we process:
- Audio of the interview — captured while the interview is taking place, via a recording assistant that joins the video call.
- A transcript of the interview — an automated text version of what was said.
- An AI-generated assessment — an evaluation of the competencies and topics discussed during the interview, produced to help the recruiter review the conversation.
- An AI-assistance check — after the interview, the patterns in your answers are compared against patterns typical of AI-generated responses. This is included in the recruiter's summary as one signal to look into, not a verdict; it does not by itself decide anything about you, and the recruiter still makes the decision.
- Basic technical and session data — such as the date, time, duration and platform of the interview, and which vacancy it relates to.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect data about you beyond what is needed for the interview and its assessment.
We do not intentionally process special category data (such as data about health, ethnicity, religion, or political views). Please avoid volunteering such information during the interview. If it is mentioned, it is not used to generate the assessment.
4. Why we process your data, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|
| Recording, transcribing and generating an AI assessment of the interview, to help the recruiter evaluate you for the role | Legitimate interests — the hiring organization's interest in fairly and consistently assessing candidates, which is an assessment you would reasonably expect as part of an interview process |
| Keeping our service secure, reliable and free from misuse | Legitimate interests — our interest in operating a secure service |
| Complying with legal obligations that apply to us | Legal obligation |
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you have the right to object (see section 8). We have balanced our interests against your rights and consider the processing proportionate, because it is limited to the interview you chose to attend and supports a decision you are already part of.
The legal basis for recording the call itself may additionally be governed by local laws on recording conversations. You are informed that the call is recorded before or at the moment recording begins, and you may raise any objection with the recruiter at that time.
5. Automated processing and how decisions are made
The assessment of your interview is generated with the help of artificial intelligence. However:
- The AI produces an assessment to assist the recruiter — it does not make the hiring decision.
- The final hiring decision is made by a human (the recruiter / hiring organization), not by the AI.
Because a human makes the decision, this is not a "solely automated decision" of the kind that carries additional restrictions under Article 22 GDPR. If you have questions about how the assessment was used in a decision about you, you can ask the hiring organization.
6. Who we share your data with
We share your interview data with:
- The hiring organization that is interviewing you — they receive the transcript and the AI assessment.
- Service providers ("sub-processors") who help us operate the product, strictly to provide the service to us:
- a meeting-recording and transcription provider — Recall.ai (with the speech-to-text engines Gladia and Speechmatics), which enables the assistant to join the call and produce audio and a transcript;
- an AI model provider — Anthropic, which processes the transcript to generate the assessment;
- our hosting and database providers — Vercel and Supabase, which store the data securely.
These providers act on our instructions and are bound by contracts that restrict how they may use your data.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
7. International data transfers
Some of our service providers may process your data outside your country or the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by law (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision) to protect your data.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and similar laws), you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), in certain circumstances.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data, in certain circumstances.
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests, including the interview assessment. If you object, we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
- Portability — receive certain data in a structured, machine-readable format, where applicable.
- Complain — lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (data protection regulator) in your country.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at vadim.radionov@yesnohire.com or contact the hiring organization. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (generally one month).
Because we do not require you to have an account, we may need to verify your identity, or ask the hiring organization to help identify your interview, before acting on a request.
9. How long we keep your data
We keep your interview data for as long as the hiring organization needs it for the purposes described above, and in line with their instructions. We do not currently apply an automatic expiry date to it.
You can ask us to delete it. Write to vadim.radionov@yesnohire.com and we will delete your interview data, or tell you if a law requires us to keep something (for example, accounting records of the payment). The hiring organization can also delete it at any time, and everything is deleted when their account is closed.
10. How your data is protected
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls that ensure each recruiter can only access their own interviews, encryption in transit, and contractual restrictions on our service providers.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. The current version is always available at https://yesnohire.com/privacy/candidate. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
12. Contact
If you have any questions about how your data is handled, contact:
- yesnohire: vadim.radionov@yesnohire.com
- The hiring organization conducting your interview.
- Your local data protection authority, if you wish to make a complaint.
